# roundtrip-ae2

The groupant beside tools/roundtrip/src/ae2.rs in the Mova repository: what the code computes, what it never does, how to go back from its outputs, its invariants, cost and checks.

## Facts

- **kind:** groupant
- **status:** partial source bound model
- **source:** [`tools/roundtrip/src/ae2.rs`](https://github.com/ElamurAI/mova-free/blob/main/tools/roundtrip/src/ae2.rs)
- **repository folder:** [`tools/roundtrip/src/ae2.rs.groupant`](https://github.com/ElamurAI/mova-free/tree/main/tools/roundtrip/src/ae2.rs.groupant)

> **Implementation material.** A Mova code model describes this code at one source revision: partial models, finite checks and their stated scope. It is not a reviewed general exposition, and its labels are shown as written, never raised.

## Components

| component | label | where |
|---|---|---|
| **Approximant** | partial source derived | [Forward](#forward) |
| **Ast** | partial | `syntax.json` |
| **Composition** | partial source derived | [Composition](#composition) |
| **Cost** | partial source derived | [Invariant and cost](#invariant-and-cost) |
| **Descriptant** | partial source derived | [Descriptant](#descriptant) |
| **Invariant** | partial source derived | [Invariant and cost](#invariant-and-cost) |
| **Tests** | finite evidence | [Tests](#tests) |

## Obernants

The typed relations around the forward model: the behaviour complement (what the code never does), the reverse reconstruction (every input compatible with an output) and specialised views.

| relation | type | label | where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Behavior complement | behavior complement | partial source derived finite checks | [Behavior complement](#behavior-complement) |
| Reverse reconstruction | reverse reconstruction | partial source derived finite checks | [Reverse reconstruction](#reverse-reconstruction) |

## Model text

### Descriptant

The extended pipeline's measures: a stylizer plugin on the generator (neutral shipped), the generator with fault controls, the two-pair autoencoder (text and trees pairs from the frames and from the world), the anti-autoencoder (meta forms from held-in texts, generator, realizer, parser, trees pair, optional meta pair) and the gold anchor (LAS and UPOS).

### Forward

ae_volume: text -> trees0 (parser) -> frames -> world -> generator(+stylizer) -> trees1 -> text1; pairs treecmp(trees0, trees1) and text0 = text1 (exact share, chrF). anti_volume: world of a held-in text -> generator -> tree0 -> text -> tokenizer, parser -> tree1; pair treecmp(tree0, tree1); with meta the events of M0 and M1 matched as multisets.

### Invariant and cost

No dependence on thread count (jobs merged in order, ordered maps); with the neutral stylizer and no fault the generator is the plain realizer; a fault never raises a pair on real text (tested). Cost: one parse per sentence per run plus frames, world and one realization per start; the anti run adds a tokenization and a parse.

### Composition

Uses vol::segment, frames::read, world::encode and decode_in, Realizer, tree::Dec, treecmp. Called by ae2round.

### Behavior complement

Domain: volumes of text. Relation: never changes the meta form for a style, never writes files, never trains. Faults are applied only where named (generator trees, parser words). Counterexample: a parser fault on a relation the generator never builds does not lower the pair.

### Reverse reconstruction

Domain: Ae and Anti counters. Relation: counts and classes locate a loss to a start (frames, world), not recover the text.

### Tests

ae2::tests (5) and ae2::real (2, real en.bin, skipped without it): fault parsing, plugin point, neutral generator is the plain realizer, ordered parallel jobs, counters; negative controls: rule and relation faults and a parser fault each lower the pairs, identical for 1 and 4 threads.

## History

#### 2026-11-07 · created

Written with the extended pipeline (tools/roundtrip/README.md, «The extended pipeline»). Measurements of 2026-11-07 are in that README; two identical runs of ae2-round and anti-round gave identical round.json (but for seconds) and candidate bytes.
