# cycle-teacher-diagnostics

The groupant beside models/cycle-teacher-diagnostics.groupant in the Mova repository: what the code computes, what it never does, how to go back from its outputs, its invariants, cost and checks.

## Facts

- **kind:** groupant_group
- **status:** partial descriptive instance
- **bound sources:** 10
- **repository folder:** [`models/cycle-teacher-diagnostics.groupant`](https://github.com/ElamurAI/mova-free/tree/main/models/cycle-teacher-diagnostics.groupant)
- **repository commit:** `48f2e6f74146`

> **Implementation material.** A Mova code model describes this code at one source revision: partial models, finite checks and their stated scope. It is not a reviewed general exposition, and its labels are shown as written, never raised.

## Model text

### descriptant

#### cycle-teacher-diagnostics: wave33

Build MOVA_BIG_DEFAULT joins runtime nonempty MOVA_BIG precedence. Pipeline sends selected ids to main parser helpers, consumes db with_drafts and later updates DB before check/train/row. jobs wraps configured drafts. Teacher live test, bench main, lesson_smoke and twin ledger are explicitly independent paths; common diagnostics vocabulary is not a caller edge. Existing artifact markers may bypass stages, and failed collect can leave earlier DB commits.

This source-bound partial group organizes existing Mova code. Native evidence and excluded effects are recorded in source sidecars and the root wave33 report. Registration is not a universal proof or whole-system runtime claim.

##### Epoch 2026-11-01

Preserve prior wave33 observations. New cycle-reviewed links persistent correction choice, guarded agreement/update and split-bound full/fresh training. Native synthetic interaction proves a weighted-vote conflict can be repaired by explicit full-tree selection; it does not prove semantic correctness, learning benefit or arbitrary crash durability.

### model

## cycle-teacher-diagnostics

### forward

Tagged union of cycle orchestration, live teacher diagnostic, jobs monitor, benchmark reporter, staged lesson smoke and twin ledger tests. Actual cycle joins: build default→Cfg; main ids/parser/log/model helpers↔pipeline; pipeline collect→db update/prag/training_file; cycle draft→jobs command. State transition is ordered filesystem/subprocess trace, not a transaction.

### invariant

Teacher smoke stays ignored. This evidence uses only synthetic helper/CLI fixtures and preserves production implementations. DB current rename precedes history/log; pipeline attempt reservation precedes optional review. Model publication uses .part rename; reports do not establish learning quality.

### cost

Helper costs compose by actual call multiplicity and bytes: DB O(S log S+V W log V+W²), cascade O(B+N log(N+1)*(1+L_id)+N min(n,N)) for maximum id byte length L_id, including repeated sort-key hashing, parser/report linear bytes plus ranking, jobs sampled proc tree, bench output scan per metric. External teacher/parser/train costs unmeasured and potentially unbounded.

### composition

Build MOVA_BIG_DEFAULT joins runtime nonempty MOVA_BIG precedence. Pipeline sends selected ids to main parser helpers, consumes db with_drafts and later updates DB before check/train/row. jobs wraps configured drafts. Teacher live test, bench main, lesson_smoke and twin ledger are explicitly independent paths; common diagnostics vocabulary is not a caller edge. Existing artifact markers may bypass stages, and failed collect can leave earlier DB commits.

### domain

Bounded synthetic strings/temp files, deterministic exact helper inputs and representable counts. CLI training/teacher/corpora/models excluded from execution. Legacy tier behavior source-derived only.

### limitations

Ordinary allocation/UTF-8 resource bounds; caller serialization where required. No concurrent mutation in synthetic fixtures. Syntax is partial representation; no macro expansion or universal semantics. Lesson/teacher/build entry behavior is source-derived/compile representation.

### checks

- 14 exact native names twice debug/release, numeric statuses and sorted outcomes
- Nine sources each syntax generated twice and byte compared
- Six compiled behavior mutations fail named assertions, exact-byte restoration and positive reruns

### Reviewed selection composition — 2026-11-01

cycle-reviewed adds operator-owned phase/hash admission, full-tree/prag selection and staged DB snapshot/rollback to the actual db/pipeline call chain. Agree applies full selected trees after weighted voting; future update/prag calls reject conflicts. Both full and fresh training paths intersect explicit train decisions with heldout exclusions. One strict primary rejects unreviewed secondary DBs. The lock and journal expose failure prefixes; seven renames do not form a cross-file atomic transaction. Model checkpoints and base/replay training files remain separate operator-controlled inputs.

### Reviewed selection composition, 2026-11-01

Within one quiescent reviewed DB, compose policy validation, legacy history voting, full-tree overlay, then training selection. For selected IDs I and policy S, the observable full-block projection after successful agreement is S_tree, while pragmatic rows remain S_prag. The leaf's selected_vote_override excludes hybrid tags/heads under these premises. The training projection is Train(S) minus caller exclusion E, not all selected IDs; its reverse fiber cannot infer membership of IDs in E. A successful tree/prag selection does not certify linguistic correctness or safe external replay.

The seven-file application trace has prefix states S_k, not one atomic switch. Rollback composes a hash-verified complete before inventory with byte restoration; model activation is an independent boundary. Do not infer 'all-or-nothing DB+model' from either child. The leaf catalog gives domains, formulas, counterexamples and distinct evidence limits for selection, train preimages and transaction-prefix errors. Native synthetic tests cover the wiring; the bounded 2026-11-01 import additionally checks selected hashes, all nonselected normalized blocks/rows and an actual training_file view. No arbitrary-crash or GPU task-quality theorem follows.

### catalog

### behavior-complement

Inner exclusions at actual boundaries: ignored teacher not launched by default harness; mismatched parser cardinality stops parser file writes; exhausted attempt budget stops ledger append; heldout ids excluded from training_file. These do not exclude earlier effects on later failure.

### reverse-reconstruction

Given cycle row/current DB/attempt ledger, compatible histories include multiple resumed stages, overwritten versions and unsuccessful teacher attempts. Reports lose bodies, timestamps/order and sampled-process information. No unique global predecessor; independent diagnostics reconstruct only their tagged path.

### artifact-order

Pipeline collect commits db before corpus append/check/enrich/train/row. A row is a terminal observation under untampered assumptions, but row absence does not imply no database effects. main model rename joins trainer availability only after subprocess success.

### heldout-identity

exclude returns heldout set separately from heldout∪inflight ids. feed uses union; training_file uses heldout only. Matching uses sent_id, so equal text with different ids is not excluded by this relation.

### diagnostic-boundary

Lesson smoke preparses assessment answers and learns exercises twice, bench reads frozen workload outputs, twin predicts synthetic costs. Neither reading correctness nor cost acceptance is an independent saved-state learning proof.

### budget-resource

Enrichment line budget caps reservations under lock and single-caller premise, not successful calls or dollars. jobs sampled RSS/time limit and legacy budget_n share allocation represent distinct resources and cannot be substituted.
